Update as of April 22, 2026: On April 22, 2026, the Court granted the Parties' Joint Ex Parte Application for Entry of Stipulation and Order Thereon to Set Supplemental Notice Deadlines and Objection Hearing Date to Effect Settlement. The Final Approval Hearing has been rescheduled to August 5, 2026, at 1:30 pm. If you received a notice after April 22, 2026, you have until July 17, 2026, to opt out of the Settlement. If you choose to object to the Settlement, you must appear at the hearing on August 5, 2026, at 1:30 pm, in Department 18 of the Alameda Superior Court, Rene C. Davidson Courthouse, located at 1225 Fallon St, Oakland, California.
If you received the Notice it is because your rights may be affected by the settlement (“Settlement”) of a class action lawsuit. You may be a current or former tenant at the Pathfinder Village Apartments, 39800 Fremont Boulevard, Fremont, CA, ("Pathfinder Village”), who paid alleged unlawful rent increase(s) or late fee(s) from August 2017 to May 2022 and consequently a member of the Class. Participate in the Settlement | If you paid an alleged unlawful rent increase and/or late fee charge between August 27, 2017, and May 3, 2022, while living at Pathfinder Village, you are a member of this class action.
